Operation Sindoor
After the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir, which led to the death of innocent civilians, India gave a strong and timely response within 14 days.
On the night of 6–7 May 2025, under Operation Sindoor, the combined strength of the Indian Army, Air Force, and Navy carried out airstrikes on nine terrorist camps located in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).
This action was not just a retaliatory move but also sent a strong message. It was executed in response to the Pahalgam terror attack, and India ensured a decisive counter-strike within two weeks.

Colonel Sophia Qureshi and Wing Commander Vyomika, who shared details of the operation, confirmed that nine terror sites were successfully destroyed. They emphasized that extreme caution was taken to avoid any civilian casualties during the mission.
The first target was Sawai Nala Camp, a major base of the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).
Importantly, no Pakistani military installations were targeted during the operation.

- Mahmuna Zoya, Sialkot – Base of Hizbul Mujahideen (HM)
- Markaz Ahle Hadees, Barnala – Center of Lashkar-e-Taiba
- Markaz Abbas, Kotli – Command center of Jaish-e-Mohammed
- Maskar Raheel Shaheed, Kotli – Training camp of Hizbul Mujahideen
- Shawai Nala Camp, Muzaffarabad – Terror camp of Lashkar-e-Taiba
- Syedna Bilal Camp, Muzaffarabad – Operational center of Jaish-e-Mohammed
India's International Diplomatic Strategy:
Indian officials briefed key global powers like the United States, the United Kingdom, Russia, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE about the action.
India’s National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval held discussions with US NSA and Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
The Indian Embassy in Washington described the operation as a “measured, responsible, and non-provocative action.”
Mission Monitored by PM Modi:
Prime Minister Narendra Modi personally monitored the entire operation throughout the night.
The strikes were carried out based on precise intelligence provided by Indian security agencies.
The operation was a joint effort involving all three branches of the Indian armed forces – Army, Air Force, and Navy.
